Resultados Propella 2025: Becas, países y crecimiento internacional

En este blog compartimos las estadísticas de las 104 gestiones realizadas por Propella durante 2025 a favor de estudiantes-atletas que hoy cumplen sus metas académicas y deportivas en el extranjero.

Nuestro objetivo sigue siendo el mismo: impactar positivamente la vida de nuestros clientes, ofreciendo un servicio de clase mundial y una experiencia que los prepare de la mejor manera para su nueva etapa universitaria.

Resultados generales 2025

Por primera vez superamos el centenar de procesos completados, lo que representa un aumento del 20% en comparación con el año anterior.

Al reflexionar sobre los conocimientos y datos del reciente año de reclutamiento deportivo universitario en nuestro informe de la Class 2025, celebramos los logros de nuestros estudiantes-atletas, quienes han convertido muchos de sus sueños en realidad gracias a oportunidades deportivas internacionales.

Aunque el año lectivo suele iniciar en Fall (agosto o setiembre), algunos de nuestros clientes recibieron ofertas para incorporarse en Spring (enero de 2025).

Perfil de los estudiantes-atletas

Del total de estudiantes colocados:

23% fueron mujeres
77% fueron hombres

Este dato refleja que todavía existe una brecha de acceso entre ambos géneros, un reto que seguimos abordando al promover y normalizar entre familias y atletas femeninas todas las oportunidades que existen para ellas en el extranjero.

Porcentaje promedio de becas y ahorro total

En promedio, las becas obtenidas por nuestros clientes cubrieron el 62% de los costos totales, con gran variabilidad entre los casos.
Algunos alcanzaron oportunidades superiores a $80,000 anuales en instituciones de clase mundial como Syracuse University, University of Central Florida (UCF) y Santa Clara University.

Curiosamente, las mujeres suelen obtener becas que cubren en promedio el 67% de sus costos, mientras que los hombres alcanzan un promedio del 61%.

El ahorro total en el primer año de estudios asciende a $2.6 millones de dólares, y a lo largo de la carrera universitaria un cliente promedio ahorra más de $100,000 USD gracias a nuestros servicios.

Destinos y distribución geográfica

Este año colocamos estudiantes-atletas en cuatro países distintos y en más de 25 estados de Estados Unidos, siendo los más frecuentes: Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa y Texas.

Niveles deportivos universitarios

El sistema universitario estadounidense organiza sus deportes en diversas asociaciones, algunas con múltiples divisiones: NCAA (I, II, III), NAIA, NJCAA (Junior Colleges), NCCAA y USCAA.

Además, algunos de nuestros clientes obtuvieron oportunidades en Canadá, México y Europa.

Del total de estudiantes-atletas:

82% ingresó directamente a una universidad de 4 años (NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA, USCAA)
6% obtuvo oportunidades fuera de Estados Unidos
28% optó por terminar la secundaria en boarding schools con enfoque académico y deportivo

El 6% de colocaciones en NCAA División I refleja lo competitivo que se ha vuelto acceder a ese nivel, debido al crecimiento de la liga y a nuevas reglas de límite de rosters y transferencias.

Cada oportunidad refleja la diversidad de caminos académicos que nuestros clientes pueden tomar. En 2025, Propella colocó estudiantes en una amplia gama de instituciones de prestigio, desde universidades de cuatro años hasta boarding schools y programas internacionales.

This blog presents the statistics of the 104 placements completed by Propella during 2025 in support of student-athletes who are now fulfilling their academic and athletic dreams abroad.

Our goal remains the same: to positively impact the lives of our clients, providing world-class service and preparing them for success in their next university stage.

Overall Results 2025

For the first time, we surpassed one hundred completed placements, representing a 20% increase compared to the previous year.

Reflecting on the insights and data from our Class of 2025 report, we celebrate the achievements of our student-athletes who turned their dreams into reality through international athletic opportunities.

Although the academic year typically begins in Fall (August or September), some of our clients received offers to start in Spring (January 2025).

Profile of Student-Athletes

Of all students placed:

23% were women
77% were men

This shows that a gender gap still exists, and closing it remains one of our main challenges. We continue working to raise awareness among families about the wide range of opportunities available for female athletes abroad.

Scholarship Coverage and Total Savings

On average, the scholarships obtained by our clients covered 62% of total costs, though results varied widely.
Some reached opportunities exceeding $80,000 per year at world-class institutions such as Syracuse University, University of Central Florida (UCF), and Santa Clara University.

Interestingly, female athletes achieved higher coverage on average (67%) compared to male athletes (61%).

The total savings during the first year of study reached $2.6 million USD, while a typical client saves more than $100,000 USD over the course of their degree thanks to Propella’s guidance.

Destinations and Geographic Distribution

This year, Propella placed student-athletes in four different countries and in more than 25 U.S. states, with the most frequent destinations being Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Texas.

University Athletic Levels

The U.S. collegiate system organizes sports across multiple associations, some with different divisions: NCAA (I, II, III), NAIA, NJCAA (Junior Colleges), NCCAA, and USCAA.

In addition, several of our clients obtained opportunities in Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

Of the total student-athletes placed:

82% joined a four-year university (NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA, USCAA)
6% obtained opportunities outside the United States
28% chose to complete their secondary studies at boarding schools with strong academic and athletic programs

The 6% placed in NCAA Division I reflects how competitive it has become to access this level, driven by league growth and new roster and transfer regulations.
